一、基数词：

1、以下数字单独记忆：0－12

zero,one,two,three,four,five,six,seven,eight,nine,ten,eleven,twelve

2、13－19 以-teen 结尾：

thirteen, fourteen,fifteen, sixteen,seventeen,eighteen,nineteen,注意19 有－e,14 有-u。

3、20－90（整十）以－ty 结尾：

twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty, ninety,注意40无-u, 90有-e。

4、“几十几”表达时在几十的后面加上连字符，再加上个位数字即可。

如：25 twenty-five, 56 fifty-six

5、三位数：

加上hundred（百），百位和十位之间加上and，如十位为 0，则在百位与个位之间加上and。

365 three hundred and sixty-five

405 four hundred and five

注意：hundred前面有数字，始终用单数。

6、三位数以上数字读法：

如：1234567891

从后向前每三位数字点一个计数点：

1，234，567，891

从后向前每个计数点可以理解成单位为：

第一个计数点thousand（千）

第二个计数点million（百万）

第三个计数点billion(十亿）

注意：hundred,thousand,million,billion前面有数字，始终用单数。

三个计数点分为四部分来读：

one billion/ two hundred and thirty-four million /five hundred and sixty-seven thousand/eight hundred and ninety-one

二、序数词变化规律及其缩写：

1、一般规律：基数词后面加 -th 变为序数词.

如：six-sixth seven-seventh

2、以下数字单独记忆：

first, second, third, fifth, eighth, ninth, twelfth。

3、20－90（整十）把-y 变为－ie 再加 －th.

如：twenty-twentieth

4、“几十几”只变后面个位数。

如：thirty-three变为thirty-third

5、百位以上的数字变个位数即可。

缩写形式为：数字+ 最后两个字母

如：first-1st, sixth-6th, seventh-7th

温馨提示：

考试中常考拼写问题的序数词：

1、four fourth forty fourteen 涉及到 4 只有一个不同，forty, 无-u

2、nine ninth nineteen ninety 涉及到9 只有一个不同, ninth, 无－e.

即：四十无-u, 第九无-e

3、fifth,twelfth为把-ve变为了- f,再加-th;

4、ty 变为序数词，-y变为-ieth.
